Probably fair to mention the site sponsor's name at this point, he was very helpful to me on a phone call recently:

I've just had to replace two of my Pirelli Scorpion Zero 235/60/R18 103V M + S due to a nail in one and a cut in the other - got mine for £175 each fitted etc. I've had these tyres on both of my Freelanders and find them to be a good tyre, reasonably quiet and offering good grip in most conditions. 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.

Ring your nearest Costco, (you may have to pay £15 for a membership card if you don't have one)but they are probably the cheapest Michelin Tyre distributor you can find, they often have a 20% discount offer on full sets, I was quoted £625 for a full set before Xmas, then the local Kwikfit price matched the Pirellis that I actually wanted. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Got a Costco card but where did you get the price for the Pirellis from for Kwikfit to match? Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables. |

I went to the Bradford Thornbury QuickFit and asked for prices for the Michelin, Pirelli and a couple of other "quality" manufacturers, they quoted me around £760 fitted for 4 new ATR tyres. I had got the price off cost co which included an extra 20% for a full set, they run this offer several times a year, but they could not get the Michelin tyres in ATR and they only supply Michelin. The bloke at quickfit did not know this part:D so I said "sorry mate" I'm going down to Costco, he made a few phone calls and said he could do Pirelli at the same price ( to be fair I think he was a tenner more). So it's just a case of how much they want the business I think, when I was in the Bradford branch loads of people were shocked at being quoted £50 for economy tyres on ordinary cars, so perhaps some one prpared to splash £600 retail was a welcome sight to him. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
