Does anybody know if you can stop the mirrors folding every time you lock it? |

Yes at the dealer - they need to program it I believe

If you press the two buttons to fold the mirrors in before you switch off, then switch off and lock the car.

Prone is probably too strong a word..but yes some people have reported problems with bearings at the back - I think there is a repair kit available. Did you buy privately or from a garage? Might it be under warranty if from a garage? |

Tried this on my 10HSE.Once folded in with the buttons they stay folded in no matter what you do with the key fob. Once unfolded with the buttons they operate normally with the key fob. I can't find any way to make them stay unfolded. |

I think I've been on this forum for about 3 years and I can't recall many instances of people having problems with the mirror folding mechanism other than in when iced up. I had a problem with ones on a FL1 but not any of my FL2s. Just think if they are folded in they are less likely to get smashed off |

If it is the Diff Pinion Bearing it will rapidly deteriated, mine went from "it that a whine" to WHAT IS THAT, in 500 miles. |
