Service cost

Could anyone tell me the average cost of a 60,000 service on a 2007 HSE from a main dealer, or the cost that you have paid.
I know main LR dealers are going to be more but do they all work of a similar price scale ??. TD4 HSE Auto

Should be a 75 000 service on a 2007 model.

Marshalls Bedford were charging £475.00 for a 60 000 service a year ago. Current quote for a 75 000 service is around £430.00 not including MoT.

Is there any reason to use a LR dealership for a 3year old plus car - I am very tempted to use a highly recommended local garage for my 3yr service and MOT supplying my own oil purchased from Halfords at £17.50/4litres.

The only reason, I have heard to use LR, is to maintain the paintwork warranty.

Thoughts appreciated.

Looking at the service schedule it appears as if 80% of the work is visual checking - I guess if you print and provide the schedule to your selected garage asking them to confirm their actions, you are covered.

Find yourvself a land rover specialist to do the work, half the priCe and looks good to have a land rover stamp in the book. I would not let any local garage touch my car if they were giVing away for free! Most dealers are overpriced cowboys for what they do

re service what you have to do if you dont use a l/r dealer,

under block exemption you don't have to have your land rover serviced by a dealer to keep the warranty valid but you must make sure you do the following make sure the garage you take it to is vat registered and you must use genuine l/rover parts and oils and remember if you car does go wrong outside warranty within a short period you probably will not be looked on sympathetically by l/rover and the latest software updates will not be applied to the cars (ECM) unit but cost may be slightly cheaper,

on the other hand if you take your vehicle to the dealer and buy your own parts and oil through a l/rover parts dept
you will still get the service cheaper as long as you barter for your labour figure play one dealer off to the other if you do it this way as i have found out you get the best of both worlds you get the car serviced by the dealer and no hassle about any out of warranty issues if you have any i will not use an indy till mine is 4 yrs old and will past a landrover warranty i do know owners who have had some contribution from l/rover well past the end of the warranty period because they were loyal hope this helps you Thumbs Up

indys are not allways cheaper Whistle rainy-city

Does anyone know whether you need to use a LR dealer if you have taken out a LR extended warranty?
