Engine Pipe caught in fan????

Hi all, on hearing a strange noise coming from the engine, I opened the bonnet to find this pipe caught up in the right hand side fan. Its coming out the front of the engine but cant exactly see where. Just been for a service, maybe some sort of overflow pipe? Doesn't appear to be any liquid on the inside of the pipe. Anyone know what its for before I get excited and call the garage? No expert on engines so any info would be great. Thanks.
Dave

Hi, it looks very much like the drain off pipe fitted to the underside of the fuel filter fitted to some but not all cars.
This would be at the front of the engine and there is a bleed off screw on the fuel filter to drain of any water that might of collected in the filter.
Sounds like the previous fuel filter had a drain off but the new filter didnt or they forgot to refit it. Either way you wont have any problems unless the bleed off screw is undone. Thumbs Up
