Do I need another spare wheel?

Hi there, newbie here!

Just got my first FL2. It had the original 16 inch alloys on it and I've now upgraded to some 19 inch ones (from a HST).

Do I need to get a 19 inch spare, or is the brand new one that it came with sufficient?

Cheers

Assuming that the overall diameter of the upgraded wheels and tyres have not changed, your existing spare will be fine. garioch43

The circumference should be the same as the tyre wall difference will make it up should be 235

Just check with your insurance company on the actuall wheels some have strange rules about upgrading, mine would only allow 2" difference from standard, even if I was downgrading sizes Laughing

will be fine for temporary, is it a steel space saver? all the wheels have the same rolling circumference so are interchangeable in the short term At work

We established a while ago, to the surprise of many, that there is no law against having different size tyres, or indeed wheels, on your car. The only rule is not to mix radials with cross plies. Hence your spare may be a different sized wheel or have a different sized tyre. So long as the circumference is the same it's legal and it will work. Some Freelanders have actually been supplied with a different full-size tyre on the spare. All the different FR2 specifications, 17, 18 and 19 inch, have more or less the same diameter, so one spare works with all.
If your spare is of the black steel type with a yellow sticker there is a speed limitation on it.
