2013 MY Freelander 2

It looks as if there is alot going on under the skin of the 2013 MY FL2.

The auto's are getting the rotary control, which means it sounds like it is getting the Evoque/Disco 4/Jag control system.

The dash is apparently getting a large overhaul as well. Rumours are that due to the amount that is being changed under the skin, it may even be called Freelander 3.

I know this sounds a little daft, but they went from Discovery 3 to 4 after what was a mild external facelift, but major under the skin facelift. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

sounds good, im guessing as you say its the 2013 MY it wont appear until late next year (which is good for me coz im not due to change until March 2014. LED lights, rotary gear selector, updated dash, its beginning to sound very interesting...

Lets hope that some of the other goodies on recently facelifted FFRR and RRS as well as stuff featured on the Evoque filter down into the FL3. It would be nice to see a split tailgate but seeing as though this has been dropped from the RRS I doubt we will see it, perhaps have something similar to the Kuga where the glass opens seperately if you are in a tight space?

The FL2 is a great shape / design, it just needs the interior and equipment overhauled and LR will have their hands on a winner!

The Facelift car will be first shown at the Paris Motorshow in September, I was told the order banks will open from September 2012.

Hope they don't hike up the prices! If this all turns out to be true, then I think I may order a brand spanker in Spring next year!

I also hope they call it Freelander 3 as well! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I recently loaded the RRS with a big load of kids toys, I popped them thru the tailgate window, footballs. large plastic rolling toys etc.

Mrs G then went looking for her bag ( I'd put it on her seat), she opened the tailgate proper and an avalanche of toys rolled out and down the hilly street. Several by standers saw the episode and cheered. I had to hold my tongue as there was children present , silly mare Evil or Very Mad

verdict , split tailgates are only or people with a modicum of intelligence Rolling Eyes At work

Dozens of transporters going south on the M6 today, mostly Freelanders, some with Evoque wheels, couldn't see light detail, weather was rubbish.

Sorry I was referring to the duel view satnav screen, for some reason I read tailgate and my mind thought satnav Embarassed

Yes the rear tailgate split has been deleted from the spec, shame it was one of those Range Rover parts that should have remaind in my book
