Highway 300di

I am thinking about fitting the new Highway 300di dab radio into the car.

It gets a good right up but is only sold and fitted by the staff at halfords.

I don't feel happy about the staff at Halfords ripping my dash apart ,As I've seen their handy work before when they fit wiper blades and a roof boxes in retail site car parks.

They only allow 1 hour fitting time.

Has anyone had nightmare aftermarket installations or a good experience at Halfords ?

Cheers Very Happy SD4 Sports LE Black ...

Can't help you out I'm afraid, I would never give a Halfords fitter the opportunity to fit something in my car. I see them as failed 'wannabe' car mechanics that have had no formal training whatsoever.

colleague of mine bought a bike from Halfrauds and first time his kid used it fell over the handle bars - the front forks were fitted backwards. Confused

others tell of parts not being fastened tight enough and coming loose during use resulting in several mishaps..... Evil or Very Mad 2002 Honda VFR800

I can't speak for Halfords fitting it, but I had my stereo replaced with the Alpine INA-W910R.
It took some very talented guys two days to fit, mostly due to fibre optics of the parking sensors and steering wheel controls.

That aside the Highway 300di isn't quite the same set up, but it's exclusive to Halfords so I doubt anyone has any experience of fitting them yet. If you can buy it without fitting, I'd suggest doing that and taking it to someone with more knowledge! 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

I think that the question has pretty much been answered, but if you let one of their monkeys near your dash board and vehicle electronics, you will probably regret every day until the day that you sell it.

DON'T DO IT!
