England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Santorini Black
Winter rims

Hi,
I have a FL2 Dynamic. 62plate 2013 model.
It has the factory fit Continental tyres on 19" rims.
Any suggestions what I should do for winter. Eg spare rims, what size, best tyres?
Not had a FL in winter as previously had a P38 which was awesome...but tired hence the change.
Cheers.

Any of the 17" Land Rover Freelander 2 rims are fine, shod with Vredestein Wintracs, they will all be the same rolling diameter as only the side profile changes, but for cheapness the 17" rims will be easier to source and the tyres will be cheaper Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

The disco/RR rims won't fit, it has to be Freelander or Evoque rims.
Plenty of 17" and a few 18" available, or get 19" winter tyres and a set of those gorgeous Overfinch 20" for summer, the ones in the banner a day the top. Thumbs Up

I believe 16" rims are no go for 2013 MY cars. The EPB gets in the way. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

16 inch rims will not fit on a 2013 model Freelander.

I have 16" rims myself and would recommend 16" rims, but I see some say 16" rims cannot be used on 2013 models??? Why?

Have just replaced my Conti winter-tyres with new Conti winter-tyres as I am happy with them. But others are OK too.
Nokian, Michellin, Blizzak and others. Just make sure you use winter-tyres in the winter.

Viking, as I said above, the EPB (Electric Parking Brake) mechanism gets in the way. Bob 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

OK,

Rims must be FL2 or Evoque,

What's the best winter tyre to do with them; I live in the hills. Was thinking of Vredstein?

Cheers.

You will find a lot of support for Vredestein on here. Myself, I have Avon Ranger Ice and I cannot fault them. Thumbs Up 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
