Sounds like you have a problem - mine clears the whole screen in about three minutes, if that. Is the car still under warranty? If so, a trip to the dealer is in order me thinks. 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.

You could always crack it (accidentally of course) and get autoglass to slot you a new one in. Be careful of the rain sensors though, mine didnt work very well after they put a new screen in. |

I would imagine they cost an arm and a leg so i'll check my policy to see what excess i have to pay. |

Insurance excess won't be more than £80. Never pay for it out right just accidentally chip it badly |

My dad has your problem its a faulty screen, but he had it put in a few years ago in the summer and only realised at christmas of that year it was faulty and they wouldn't replace it lol. It was minus 5 here the other day and i timed its defrosting time for you guys with my phone thick ice on the windows etc.. took 1 minute 16.3 seconds to defrost thoroughly! I think thats a good result ! |

You could also accidentally of course write the whole car off and get a new one, no wonder the insurance gets more expensive each year if everyone is having little accidentally on purpose mishaps |

I think NP had his screen done by Autoglass or similar company and the interior mirror fell off minutes later. Whilst we are mentioning insurance, friend of mine has cleared his garage out and told his insurance company with the view to paying a lower premium, they increased it as they said there is a bigger chance of the car being damaged by hitting the door or marking the car whilst in the garage and the insurance company have no one to claim off, where as if it is on the road and another car hits it there is a chance that they can claim off the other driver. |

Same as above, online quote was slightly higher for garaged car as opposed to driveway. |
