Grey Shelves?

I am in the process of converting one of the spare bedrooms into an office and I want to erect some fairly strong shelves in a 2.2m alcove. I thought that buying melamine faced chipboard / mdf would be an easy task but I can only find it in short lengths of 1200mm or less. Grey also seem to be a rare colour these days too.

Can anyone recommend a supplier of this or other suitable materials? Cheers,
Raz

I would go to a B&Q warehouse and get a sheet of 2400 x 1200x 19mm MDF cut into strips of the width/length you want( using their free cutting service), then before you put it up roller paint it with vinyl emulsion. Dead cheap about £20 for the sheet, and the 19mm is less likely to bow in use as a shelf than the 12 mm plastic coated stuff. A roller painted finish will be wipe-able and you get exactly the colour you want 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
