England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
Land Rover Experience South West - Honiton

Just had the half day drive experience given with my used Freel2 purchase. Absolutely great! The staff and set-up at Wessington Farm are bril;iant. Our instructor was Dave, an ex-Class 1 Police driver working part-time for the centre. He is really good - patient, knowledgeable and interesting. Got my wife to drive on some VERY interesting tracks - her very first off-road experience.

The ability of the Freelander - on standard road tyres - is impressive. My main feeling was almost disappointment that the electronics made it TOO easy Bow down Compared to my old Shoguns it's a doddle in the LR.

Also confirmed what I already knew - automatic is the best option! Thumbs Up

Highly recommended. Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto
Tricia's - 2006 Royal Blue Beetle Cabriolet Auto
Mine - 2014 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport Matt Black
Ours - 2007 White Bailey Pageant Champagne

I did rockingham castle in the auto and the experience days are excellent. Mostly for ad345890012's benefit you can't use the manual cos the clutch would explode and the DMF would melt and the ultra smooth kickdown jerk free auto is excellent cos I have had 25 replacement clutches and DMF's since I bought my manual and I long for the day of driving an auto again. Just yesterday the clutch pedal fell off and the gear lever came off in my hand. Terrible.

Glad you enjoyed the day Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
