Rear spoiler

Sorry if this is well documented but... can a rear spoiler be fitted by the LR dealer? (I should have specified it in the order but...).
I think it improves the back end of the FL2 ... the front (even my missus agrees) is damn smart, but I feel the spoiler 'finishes it off' at the back end... Is it a good deal from the dealer would you say - ie painted & fitted.
Thanks... ...

They can but it's a better and cheaper deal from EBay primed and get your local sprayer to do it. The fix is simple using double side tape and brackets supplied.

I have to agree - you can get a good aftermarket one for less than £100, spray it yourself (as I did for about £10) and fit it in 10 minutes. I dread to think what LR charges Shocked Cheers,

... Thanks for the advice. Will take a look on ebay but I don't want to end up with something that ain't up to scratch... are the ebay items genuine LR parts or other manuf?

And anyone had one dealer-fitted? What was the charge?

hi

if you had ordered it when the car was getting built it would have been only £155 factory fitted, not sure what a LandRover dealer would price it at 1995 P38 now dead

I doubt it, I dont do drive thru's, but it is really well stuck on, the only thing that will happen is the tailgate immediately underneath the spolier will not get washed as it is quite recessed.

The change the car dramatically, much better looking Thumbs Up

Same here.

It comes with brackets Martyn as well as stickies so i would think it would be fine if you were to take it through a car wash.

I'm still waiting for my spoiler. I told the garage not to rush but didnt mean it Rolling Eyes
I've put my freel2 sticker on this morning to replace the crpstones sticker. Much better Smile 59 TD4e XS in galway green

I hope that it is straight aswell Taz Laughing

The Crpstones one wasnt straight. Thought it was going to be a right pain to get it off when i started. It wouldnt budge. I've got some tar remover and i dabbed a bit of that on and that loosened it nicely.

I'm hoping to get a pic of it along with the spoiler when the lazy toads at the paintshop ring me to say it's done. I would have had a bash at spraying it if it had been black. Perhaps it's good that its metallic green and i havent had my hands on it with my spray cans Laughing 59 TD4e XS in galway green

The rear spoilers look great but they have been known to make a whistle noise.

(Annie - you won't hear it over your car Rolling with laughter ...No.... that's not funny Laughing )

What's a drive through car wash?.....oh I know, it's normally known as a drive through brillo pad Thumbs Up
