The 'Oil Service' in the right hand display is what it is, if your extra one is in the middle message display it is the 'oil dilution' message and dealer reset only. |

The message appears in the LH display 'oil service'. The message also appears in the right hand display briefly stating 'oil service required, contact dealer'.

Not sure what you mean by a message appearing in the LH display. When a service is due, in the RH odometer display on startup you will see a momentary clock icon and days to service then 'OIL SERVICE' will be displayed permanently. You can reset this yourself by pressing the start button and the odometer reset button together for 5 seconds (WITH YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE OR CLUTCH, DO NOT START). Then cycle throygh the options and reset. Follow instructions here http://www.freel2.com/forum/post56312.html#56312

Jabes, yours is just like the rest of us who have had this with the later models, even the LR dealers seem to forget to reset the Oil Service and only resetting the standard service warning. |

Hi, I had the same issue with my MY11. It was in to the dealer for service and they reset the computer. A copule of weeks later the "Oil service required--contact dealer" message appeared. I went to dealer. The guy tried resetting it by pushing the bttons but it would not reset. had to take it in to workshop and put it on their computer. It seesm that they had not realised this would happen! So, it seems it needs the computer to fix it. I am intending using a good independent in future but I shall need to check with them as to wehther they can reset this or not. Anyone any thoughts? |

Had it come up on my MY11 at the same about time as the main service due warning appeared. Dealer reset both warnings without any drama. |
