Oh dear Shocked

Even the SD4 isn't fast enough to be worthy of a 'racing' stripe. It would need to be a tweaked i6 but even then it would still look daft.

I used to own a Fiesta ST but decided not to opt for one with stripes Laughing Nippy little car. 2.0 NA Petrol, 150bhp, 142 lb ft torque, 0-60 7.9 and top speed 130mph (which I did, on an autobahn of course)

I'd rather be seen in a condom than a Ford Fiesta Thumbs Up

That's just a snob attitude. I would much rather be seen in a Fiesta ST than a BMW 1 series for example. Great car to drive the ST and blew away the mundane hatchbacks. Just fancied a change of direction with a 4x4. It was a good car though and you can't argue otherwise without making yourself look stupid cos the motoring press loved it and it was very reliable etc etc. Never heard any negative reviews just positive with the odd comment about Ford should have given it more power. I added a minor modification I must say. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

That's just the Ford badge you can't bear. If BMW or Mercedes etc made the exact same car instead of Ford you wouldn't have a problem because it would have a premium badge on it. Like a lot of cars, it doesn't matter how good it is, if it hasn't got a premium badge people aren't interested. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

The normal fiesta was bland but the ST is in a different league and looks great. Just admit defeat and eat your humble pie. Rules that apply to normal fiesta's don't apply to the ST. Chalk and cheese from the normal fiesta. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Exactly and that proves my earlier comment right. If a more premium brand such as BMW for example made the exact same car, people would be fine with it. But because it has a Ford badge it is not good enough for most people. You are one of those people who wouldn't buy a Ford even if it received reviews that said it was better than the equivalent BMW or Merc in every way (far fetched I know but it's the principle) because you can't bear a mainstream badge. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
