HSE electric seat positions & wing mirrors going potty!Q

Phew!
Now I know why it's best not to adjust seat positions on my 2010 HSE TD4e while driving!

Driving along today (dry conditions), I pressed memory 1 button only to find the response from the seat was to wind forward seemingly as far as possible! (I stopped and checked the extent of this in disbelief!)

Fortunately, I had managed to stop this happening to the full extent. tried the other 2 positions & these had lost their presets as well, taking strange positions. Back under manual control, I then found that both wing mirrors were well out of position as well. Still driving I repositioned them, but every time I retried to re-programme the seat positions, the wing mirrors went awry as well.

After about 15-20 mins of this, the seat memories held and all became stable again.

Anyone experienced this before & able to explain what might be happening & any fix?

Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e HSE Manual Lago Grey

sounds like you were not setting the program correctly ??

are you using the two keyfobs, as each holds their own settings ?

Aahhh! Yes, used the 2nd keyfob to make sure it keeps a charge ... could just be that.

Thanks Ian
