Not long after they came out I could do that, Its not magic, theres actualy a formula for compleating the rubix cube.
No matter what the configuration, you start by getting any side done first, then from the compleated side down one ring of colour all the way round then the third ring down by following and repeating a set seqence of moves each time.
Then theres another seqence of moves that will compleate the cube.
What I used to do to Censored some people who were fastr than me was to remove one corner block and rotate it by one face. with this done the cube can never be compleated. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Takes me back to the early 80s - when they were all the rage. I was shown how to do it and believe me it's very easy, but not so easy if you try to do it that quickly. Last time I tried I spilled my Macallan and that's too high a price to pay - so I threw it away.

But try with 4x4x4 and higher!
