TD4 remapping

Hello,

First things first - I'm not a professional tuner whatsoever, but I do have some hardware and knowledge (already did a tune for couple of my and my family cars) - I do know how to dump and flash the software, how to gather and analyze the logs, etc.
I do not earn any money on this and have no plans to do so!

Just bought the FL2 TD4 2008 auto 3 weeks ago, did basic maintenance (all oils & filters, removed intake flaps, blanked EGR, changed glowplugs, checked throttle valve, checked DTCs etc.) and decided that it's time to get it rolling a little bit quicker.

Since EDC16CP39 that can be found in my FL2 was supported by both MPPSv18 and KESS, I've tried to use them both to dump the SW from ECU, both resulting in a success and exactly the same files Thumbs Up
Unfortunately, the WinOls DAMOS file I've found over the net for this ECU in Land Rover turned out to be... for Defender 2.2 engine - and most of the defined maps do not match the one I got from my ECU.

Is there anyone here willing to share their own DAMOS file with me, please? Could be on private message, of course.

Or, since SD4 and TD4 are the same engine with different software, I could probably base my tune on comparing both dumps... Rolling Eyes
Does anyone have a stock dump from SD4 with 190 PS?

Any input will be greatly appreciated Wink

Best regards.

SD4 and TD4 use different ECUs. EDC17 and EDC16 respectively.
If you just want to take a look, then download the dealer software from here: http://diagnosticdelivery.jlrext.com/idscentral
Then install it on a separate (virtual) machine and take from there, from the VBF files, all the firmwares you need for study.

Also try this and if it's working for you, maybe you will share the results... Wink

Hi Alex,

Thank you very much for this OLS file, will try it and report back soon (no more computer time for this weekend!).

Speaking of SDD, I'm in the process of getting one (hopefully). Bought this cable from our Asian friends: https://aliexpress.com/item/4000563704474.html
Seems like a reasonable price for diagnostic software, compared to what others offer Laughing
Will also report back if it's worth getting one.

Cześć,
If you’re planning on going down the SDD route, this link is worth a look - https://www.jaguarforum.com/threads/jaguar...ll.108460/
