If you are lucky enough not to need parts then this is not an issue. BUT if you do need parts then availability seems to be quite a problem ....

I agree Avtur, and this load of 'tosh' customers are told of having to do a production line 'pinch' is GARBAGE. Do Land Rover honestly think we are going to believe that if you need a rear bumper reflector that some 'dopey operative' will have to sneek onto the production line at Halewood and 'pinch' one out of the stock bin....HELLO!! Land Rover!!!, we did not come over on the last friggin banana boat!!!! GET THE SODDING PARTS MADE AVAILABLE You have 11K customers out there who could do more damage to the product name than you lot pi55 arsing about making excuses for no parts. GET IT SORTED!!!! PM me, talk to me on this site in front of your customers, my buy back was not a cheap solution to my problem with my first car, if all your customers dealt with their problem cars as I did you would be losing money hand over fist. I run my own business, so I know what the issues are are....OK Land Rover turnover may be huge to mine but the same mechanics of business are practised. Good customer relations are the key. You can be the worst product in the world, but if you have good customer relations you are onto a winner. |

I get the feeling that part of the problem may be that demand for the FL2 is higher than LR's expectations and this can cause issues for manufacturers due to the whole just-in-time operation we run....and this applies to vehicles more than probably most other industries due to the number of global suppliers we rely on.

I can believe it Gammba prior to the L Rovers I ran Peugeots through a very very cheap lease scheme and one of the 306's I had wa off the road three months solid waiting for a disc up load as the cars computer went a.w.o.l. I had a six loan cars which were Focus, Astra, Punto, Rover, evenyually 306 then a second 306 cause they sold the first one. In total over the 5 years we had 9 306's leased to us not one of which did not suffer a problem. Believe me the L Rovers by comparison despite my experience to date are far far better!! |
