whistling noise when engine switched off

Hi

I have 2012 MY sx , brilliant in all respects , but one question. When I stop the engine there is a whisling/buzzing noise from the engine bay for a few minutes . It seems to be from around the radiator fan assembly, Im wondering if its to warn that the fan is still (potentialy) active . Any one any ideas?

Nick

Yea, it wouldn't be unusual to have some sort of hydraulic accumulator bolted to front bulkhead .... 2008 Freelander2 GS TD4
