Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Had a loan car in 2007 when looking for a 4x4. This was a top model but with the different nose to the current model. An excellent drive, but unfortunatly then only had the smaller engine which was incredibly sluggish. The latest model has basiclly the same motor as our FL2 (160/153 bhp) and far better. It also even then had a 5-years warrenty including service and the price was much cheaper than the FL2.
To be honest I would have bought one then but for several things including:
1). No sunroof was available then.
2). The sluggish old motor was useless.

I would put money on the quality of build being better as well, which is an incredible big let down on the Freely. If you dont go real off-roading but need a 4x4 it is a much cheaper and fra better alternative purchase. But for the status minded it doesnt count for much and nowhere near that of LR & BMW. One thing though, stay well away from the 7-seat version (or chuck the extra seats away).

PS - if you dont believe me, go and try one for yourself, I think you will be supprised. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Funny enough im getting drawn towards Mitsubishi too, i fancy something bigger still rugged and capable, and the new shogun manages this.

the outlander and shogun are both great machines.

a workmate had a shogun for 9 years and did over 150K mls, used it as a workhorse for visits to cash and carry, etc

recently downsized to an outlander and loves it.

In any case it was (is?) the most sold 4x4 here in Norway and an excellent winter vehicle. As for the Outlander being ugly, well the Fl2 is not exactly pretty is it Rolling Eyes 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

missisbushis are mostly japanese made I think, maybe some in Belgium?

the 4x4 is a peugeot citreon blend so could be built anywhere by anyone for not much, and with a guestimate for quality control.

good car for towing caravans apparently aslong as you are taking both the car and the van away from me (keep going) At work

Thumbs Up Mr. Wikithing confirms Mr. George is almost correct again Thud

Quote: PSA's Citroën C-Crosser and Peugeot 4007, which are manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan, are badge engineered versions of the Outlander.
