United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver

Looking at the photos of your rear arch fit, you appear to be missing the spring clip that holds the plastic mudflap against the wheel arch there should have been two in the Kit one for each side. this thing suports the flap to stop the top plastic rivet popping. or perhaps it is there and my geriatric eyesight is lying to me Embarassed 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

England 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Zermatt Silver

Took the mudflaps off the old car but the fronts seemed to be self tappered on to the plastic sill ends. Sure enough no metal bracket inside. Appear to be genuine LR with the logo in the moulding and looking at what is needed to do to fit them rather suspect the original dealer could not be bothered.

Not very keen to to the same as the load is then on the plastic trim although the old car had them on like that for 4 years. I presume that is why they are supplied with brackets in the 1st place.

One of the backs is missing its spring clip so I need to find something else.

Most of the mess on the side of mine at the moment is down to the rather over liberal application of tyre black by the dealer (we are somewhat lacking in rain). Prog rock is cool! Smile

Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Thanks MartynB.

That's where I went wrong!

Those clips came with the set, but weren't mentioned in the instructions.

Never mind, I'm happy with my modification. garioch43
