LandRover Assist

There doesn't seem to be much info around, so what do you know about it.
For new cars, is it covered for the three years warranty period or just the 12 months Question
Does it cover home and roadside Question
Does it cover c Censored n forwarding/home as well as the car Question If not what do you vanners recommend
Is there a card (credit card size) for proof or is registration sufficient Question
and anything else I should know Thumbs Up

Cheers Alf, my only reason for asking was, we have changed a 'ripoff' bank account that gave free breakdown cover including trailer if towing, it also gave other 'freebies' but at a monthly cost that far outweighed any benefit.
We have now closed this account and my wife has taken out a seperate breakdown cover for her car, but it still leaves the 'caravan' retrieval if my car breaks down.

EYorkshire, forgive me if I'm wrong but don't the caravan club offer a breakdown service including recovery of your caravan?. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

English by birth..... Yorkshire by the grace of God.

I have lra and CC Mayday

Used it before, FL2.1 broke down towing, LRA Couldn't fix it, were umming n rrring over towing car to grassington, so I called mayday to do it, then they collected my 10 days later when my holiday had finished as the FFRR TDV8 didn't have a tow bar installed

Laughing I knew CG would not be able to keep his gob shut

Hi Speedway, yes they do but I would be paying for breakdown cover for the car and the retrieval of the caravan. I already have the car breakdown covered with LandRover Assist for three years.
I was not sure if LR Assist helps with the caravan if they can't repair at the roadside.

So Nick, it looks like I may have to take out car and caravan breakdown again because LRA isn't too interested in caravan forwarding/retrieval.

Yes they do. And, if I'm not mistaken LR recovery (and AA, RAC) will also recover your 'van if it was being towed at the time - recovery (to same location as the vehicle) is all they do, no roadside repair if the 'van was the cause of the breakdown. Brian

Thanks for clearing it up for me Thumbs Up
Looks like when the season starts again next year I'll have to look into a bit of extra cover when hitched up.

You should get a 16 page booklet cleverly titled 'Land Rover Assistance Handbook' and a credit card size thing with bl@ck and white stripes on one side and UK and europe tel no. on the other - no special reference number though.

If you're a member then... you're on their database and you just give the reg no and location/problem etc. If you put a cherished plate on your car it's up to you to make sure their details are up to date, as you'll forget the old reg number when the time comes that you need them Embarassed
