After almost 4 years of ownership, last night I come across some strange radio behavior. When I was driving, listening to music suddenly the volume went significantly up with no apparent reason. I check the radio display and when normally states FM1, stated ALARM. This stayed on for a couple of seconds and then everything went back to normal.
Did anyone notice that before? I checked the handbook but I could not find any clue, unless it came from the radio station.

It's the trafic announcement (TA) feature.
Some stations emit the same program on it, while there should be... traffic announcements .
And it's louder because it should be heard...
Exactly for what you've said, I have the habbit to disable the feature from the menu.

It was alarming indeed!

The volume for any TA is set individually from the normal volume. While in a TA announcement, set the volume to how ever loud you want and it will remember this setting.
