rear spoiler fitting

just bought a rear spoiler, it has come without fitting instructions and only 1 small bracket and 2 small bolts, i take it there should be 2 brackets and 4 bolts. i see the 2 self tapped holes on each end of the spoiler, when fitted the bracket(s) must rest against the upper body of the car i take it and the spoiler is only held on to the tailgate by the 2 sticky pads, is this correct please? Im surprised the sticky pads are strong enough to hold the spoiler on. i have contacted the supplier who will hopefully send me the missing parts and instructions.

The spoiler is held in place by the 3m tape and as a bolt and braces the brackets fit on the spoiler with the screws provided, the early models had two screws and a on each metal bracket, the later ones had one screw on each plastic bracket, the brackets fit to the spoiler and the other end of the bracket fits on the inner side of the Tailgate. Get someone to hold the one end of the Spoiler as you need to position it in the correct place first time of asking. Thumbs Up

The grille is a cut job and the new one held in with double side sticky, the thread may be old but the job is still the same.

I assume you have a Pre Facelift model, you cannot upgrade the Grill to the new model, what you can do is get the MY11 Bumper which incorporates the later Grill, it bolts more or less straight on, do a search on here, quite a few members have done it, pick up a bumper off the online auctions, about £80, you might be lucky and get one the right colour, if not it will need respraying, get one to the same spec as yours, i.e. Parking Sensors, Fog Lights Thumbs Up

Fog Lights will only be a blanking plate that you can swap from your old bumper should you wish, then put the lights on the bay Thumbs Up

There is a bracket at each end and that slides onto the ends of the back door.
I put some piccies on this week to show which way the bracket goes onto the spoiler. Pic is a bit dark but it shows which way it goes Thumbs Up
