Also I think Dec 7th is the 'officially available date' so all demo's are accompanied until then for 99% of people.

I think this is true. For the most part test drives to date have been relatively short and accompanied, which as has been said, is no good for a motor of £25k and upwards. I get the impression this will change after the official launch date.

That may leave some potential buyers with a bit of a dilemma, take the plunge now after a relatively brief drive and get a good delivery date; or wait for a longer drive (after launch date) but probably end up with a longer wait. Well this how is was explained to me by my contact in our fleet department who will be buying my car.

I'm willing to take the plunge now which I'm told will pretty much guarantee my choice of model and colour at the end of Jan when I want to change.

I've a feeling that anyone buying Freelander 2 based just on a short test drive will not be disappointed Smile

Make sure you ask and play with as many things as you can.

LRE guy said you can't fold from the inside, but when you switch off and lock up they fold in.
