Key Fob Docking Bay

Folks,

Question regarding the Key Fob Docking Bay (if that is what it’s called).

I have had the usual issue with the trip and dash display resetting itself on start up, but on a couple of occasions the fob seemed very slow to disengage when pressed (In fact once very worryingly the car still thought the fob was engaged when it wasn’t).
Has anyone had any trouble with the Docking Bay? How reliable are they?
All the best,
Chris

Mine doesn't always eject properly, but will get it checked when in goes in for service in the New Year.

I believe that the software update will sort out all these issues, about half an hours labour.

My regular key sticks sometimes when ejecting, but the 'spare' doesn't. I just presumed it was wear on the plastic of the key. How does a software update affect the ejecting mechanism? Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

No idea, but when I went to find out about the trip resetting etc, the first thing he asked is are you having trouble with the fob and docking. I wasn't but apparently this is another of the known faults.

Is there any way of finding out if a software update has been done or not in the past? It might explain some fob quirks I have been experiencing Cheers,
