The only outside temperature sensor I know of is the one in the passenger wing mirror, if you rub your hand along the bottom you will feel the bump. (could be drivers side on left hand drive) |

As wizking says, and then it's direct to the ECM. The sensor is a PT100 type and works by a change in resistance so I would check all available connections for tightness and corrosion, as this will alter the total resistance and give a wrong reading. By the way the drawing says driver's side which is correct in your case.
