Just had mine MOT'd for another year and was wondering if the opacity reading gives any indication of the health of the engine. Mine was 0.11. |

Assume that means the smoke emitted?

It is a measure of the particles emitted (smoke) but the limit is 1.5. The units aern't % as far as I can tell from the printout. Hopefully someone more technical than me will explain. Mine is a non-dpf engine so I was curious to know if you can draw any conclusions from the reading |
