Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Lago Grey

As the car gets older, I am more likely to throw it at things. Very Happy

Romania 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver

Some pictures from a trip near the Black Sea Cost, about two months ago. First part of the track was really muddy, then there was ice, snow and some frozen ditches to cross. Of course, the ice broke when we crossed them, so we got the cars wet a bit Smile.

Even though I put a towstrap on since the beginning of the track as I didn't thought I'd make it well through the mud, I had no problem in keeping up with the big boys. I only needed to be pulled out once, right near the end of the day and that was mostly my fault in being careless... Otherwise, the Freelander did great!

Dirty car at the end of the muddy section. Keep in mind that several buckets of water were thrown at it to clean it, before the picture was taken Very Happy

Some ice blocks we needed to cross through.

A runoff ditch which connects a lake to the sea. The ice broke as the first cars went through. Getting in was easy, getting out was more challenging as wet tires on snow don't give too much traction Smile. Still, no issues whatsoever.

A few pictures from a one day tour around some forest tracks in the center of Romania. We started on a more difficult track but after a while decided to go back, we took another route and managed to get stuck in the snow and then tried a third option, reaching sort of a peak with a great view!

Being just one car and only with a manual winch we didn't take too many chances. Still, it was fun and challenging enough Smile

A technical bit of a trail we did last weekend. It was a Land Rover Owners Club meeting in Romania - about 25 cars, most of them being Discovery.

It was quite steep and there were some tricky rocks which I had to avoid getting under the car. In situations like this, having someone outside the car who can guide you is essential.

Found a potential river crossing lately which I attempted with the first chance. I tried to keep it soft and don't take too many chances as I was the only car around. However, it was fun! Smile The Freelander managed it with no worries.
