It looks nasty. I have seen 3 fairly bad incidents on the way home tonight but this is just massive.

I was a innocent victim of a RTA in 1976 and almost lost my legs. Hence the nickname 'pegleg'. Spent over a year in a wheelchair before i learnt to walk again.

Just the other year when i was old enough to drive , friends were taking their test after half a dozen lessons, myself had a fair few more, we were both deemed as competent drivers (myself after a second attempt) and both issued with licences. Where as my instructor taught me for more hours and his saw that he could change gear and reverse round corners and park up.

If you learn to fly, you have put in xx many hours to prove you have the experience... I think the same should be with driving.

Absolutely awful accident, and it seems a firework display might be the cause which makes it a complete freak accident.
