March 2008 HSE

Hi. I have a Freelander 2 HSE on order for 1st of March 2008. Are there likely to be any changes to the vehicle I get then to the one that I have been looking at in the showroom recently Question

I don't think there are any changes between 2007 and 2008 models. In the US they have changed the packages slightly and are looking to reduce the model line up I've heard. I've got an 08 model LR2 being delieverd in the UAE in December and that has no changes compared to the 07 model except they increased the price by 1300 pounds!!!

Hi Gambba.
Sorry to hear that you are having to pay so much extra for your freelander. Mine was originally going to be with me January 21st but I decided to wait for the 08 plate and have been told that the price will stay the same.

Most manufacturers bring 'significant' changes into production in Autumn so you could get a 2008my now. F/L2 being a new vehicle do not expect any great changes. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

Hi Upnaway.
Guess I will just have to wait and see and if any changes are made and if there are just hope they are for the better Exclamation

Mind you, can't see how they can improve on it, perhaps only to get rid of the odd niggles mentioned in theese pages.

Thats interesting, not sure if it's a good or bad thing though Shocked Once the vehicle is running I like to keep it that way, if I want to turn it off I only need to push the button Exclamation Can't get much simpler than that.
In the past I have had more problems getting a car started than problems when it's running.

I can understand LR going the extra green mile but, will it cause other problems with reliability Question Lets hope not but I would rather wait to see the results before I bought one that starts and stops when it thinks it should rather than when I am ready.
