Make me a decent offer for mine assuming we can remove them together & I may sell them before the FL2 is sold or traded by the end of November. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I agree with Nick, where have I heard that before?, I bought a pair of D3 steps from them at a good price and the look just like OEM part and perform well no problems. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

I had side steps fitted when I bought mine - I now only have the drivers side as the passenger side got ripped off when doing some 'gentle' off-road (dropped off a 'grassy clump' that looked like grass but was in fact a boulder). The attachment of the steps is pretty c**p in my opinion - remove side palstic skirts, cut three slots in them, bolt three metal plates to outer sills, install 3 metal plates on inner sills, steps attach via three square section tubes and clamping bolt. The problem I had is when the rock hit the front clamping bold, it tore the captive nut out from the inner sill, mangled the plastic trim to the extent I had to replace it, and tore the square section mounts from the step .... side step no more ! The bolder didn't hit any bodywork .. just the forward step mount.

Cheers Dave but for swmbos Freelander and the most off roading she does is drive up the grass verge outside the house, the reason she wants them is to stop people bacnging there car doors into her vehicle when parked up in the car parks. |

I had them fitted for two reasons - firstly my wife has short legs so it is easier for her but the main reason was I can stand on them, grab the roof rails & it is easy to clean/polish the roof!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
