New key fob

Mods not too sure if here or technical please move as required.

Right swmbo has just swapped key fobs as the good wife should to keep the spare one charged, the problem is and I cannot find the solution in the book is when she had the old one and she unlocked the vehicle one push did drivers door two pushes opened everything and unlocked the tailgate but not opened it, now the spare fob one push unlocks drivers door two pushes unlocks all other doors but leaves the tailgate locked so have to either use button on fob but that opens the tailgate not unlocks it or press and hold both lock and unlock buttons on dash for three seconds.

My question is how do I program the spare fob to be like the original one where I can double press unlock and it will unlock everything inc the tailgate, book just goes on about pressing the centre dash buttons

Cheers

Chris

Thanks for the link Bow down already sussed that but perhapse I should have said I like the single point entry on one click make wife feel safe getting in car on her own at night knowing that the only door to open is hers, it's the second push that I want sorting out so it unlocks the tailgate as well as the remaining doors Thumbs Up

Can you not just use the boot release button on the fob for that? 2002 Honda VFR800

Yes, thats the thing double press the key fob and all round entry but still have to press the boot button afterwards to unlock the boot, just wondered why the other fob will unlock everything on the second push inc the tailgate

Second push should unlock tailgate, so it's your "spare" that's odd for not doing so. Beyond that I can't help though.
