Rear offside door not opening

Hi all,

I have had a problem with the offside rear door not locking. I noticed it when I was carrying passengers and when reaching our destination my mother was unable to get out!! Thumbs Up . She had to be let out from opening the door from the outside. It was also noticed that the door didnt lock when using the key fob either. Phoned the dealer and the internal handle etc was replaced under warranty. Tried locking it etc and all was fine.

Just noticed that the issue of a passenger being unable to get out still presents tho. It isnt the child lock as I have tried it both with child locks on and off.

It seems that when I use the handle on the inside to open the door it doesnt activate the locking latch. where as the handle on the outside does.

Any thoughts at all?

When driving away and all doors lock, on coming to a halt the only doors that will open will be the driver and front passenger with the door opening lever. The rear passengers must wait for either you to open by the dash buton or they use the unlock lever first (below the opening handle) before using the door opening lever.

Hope that makes sense Wink

I am sure my MY10 FL2 was as you describe above, but now the front passenger door stays locked when i stop the car. The front passenger door handle only becomes active when i open the drivers door or push the unlock button on the dash. This can be rather annoying to the front passenger. Is there a way to reset the locking system back to how it was without a visit to the dealers?

Hi,

my rear left door can be opened even when it's locked and then the alarm comes on.

Any idea?

Probably the latch assembly, the motors go weak and they stop locking/unlocking.

Replacement parts is about GBP50.
