Woohoo.....I've done it!

I talked about it enough and have now actually done it.

Just got back from Dubai on Thursday and whilst over there placed the order and deposit on a LR2 i6 HSE (fully loaded, Sat Nav, Bluetotth etc) in Stornoway Grey, Ebony interior, metallic silver trim bits and tinted windows all round.

It's due for delivery in December/January.....I'm like a little kid at Christmas.

The car was overshadowed slightly by me signing a contract on a fantastic apartment in Dubai, which has awesome views over a golf course, desert, skyscrapers and one of the plams/sea......... the LR2 will just finish the picture nicely.

I am not sure I can handle much more at the moment, with getting married, buying a new house in Holland, moving to Dubai and moving to our dream apartment in Dubai Shocked

Already ordering the clear side repeaters and Black and silver logos for the car, just to be prepared Laughing

The same as you at 155k (which sucks)....but I have a very special deal with my company...... Cool Whistle

When's your due for delivery?

Definately will need to meet up when I have mine for some nice dune bashing pics...... Thumbs Up

I'm trying to repack my suitcases for Japan tomorrow but can't think of anything but cars and apartments.....especially the apartment, as I take the keys in 3 days but will not see it for another month due to my schedule. Even then it will be only for a week or so before I return for my weddings in the UK and Amsterdam (Yes 2 weddings!!!)

I don't know if I am coming or going!!! Thud

one more question: did you pay extra for the "metallic silver trim bits and tinted windows all round. "?
or was that all part of the 155K package?
when you say "metallic silver trim bits" what exactly is that?

Forgot to say in my last post,

congratulation on the wedding and getting the date for delivery,

shame you won't be able to get a good drive before you have to run around like Speedy Gonzales fitting in the wedding etc.

@ npinks
Looked at an apartment on the Palm, but the view, surroundings and level of finishing was not of a good standard I felt, and it was by pure luck we went and viewed the place we settled on (especially as it was outside of the budget).

Thanks for the kind words. It sounds all glitz and glamour in words, but it is real hard work at the moment I can tell you. I'm on a real high though with everything which is happening, and look forward to being able to provide some pictures of my adventures in the coming months.

@ calldrop
The sales guy was Bassam (Apparantly the man in charge of orders etc.) and who Deepak put me in touch with, but he would not budge on the price.
The tints are not included in the price but I will see if I can get them to throw them in anyway.
The metallic silver bits are instead of the dark or light wood trim on the inside, as I prefer it, and it's a no cost option.
They also tried to sell me the bodykit, which was reasonably prcied I thought at 5000 DHS (IIRC).
