have the aluminium kit fitted, and as mentioned above rather obviously alu effect but what a difference it makes, well worth the pennies

No you can't. The aluminium kit is a sort of 'brushed' effect and less shiny than the standard trim around the gear stick.

I've fitted one of these kits to my car (to brighten up the acres of black plastic) but I haven't stuck down the gear stick surround from the kit yet as I can't decide which I prefer! The gear stick bit stays in place without sticking down to be honest so that's what I've done for now until i can make up my mind! Neutral
