sat nav will not recalculate

Hi i am having problems with my sat nav somtimes it works ok but sometimes it will calculate the route tell you it will start when you follow the highlited route, then no voice commands at all.All you get is the green line to follow and if you go off route it does not recalculate, when you do get to the destination it then speaks. If the voice button is pressed all it says is refer to the map. It has been back to Landrover but they said there was no fault,by the way the extended warranty (landrover)does not cover the unit,I might as well bought a lower spec and a new Tom Tom can any body help.

Have you ejected the disc then re-inserted it to see if this helps ?. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

isn't there some setting for recalculating the route automatically, though it might be for traffic avoidance Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Hi it should recalculate every time you go of route as it did when I tried it yesterday but what happened it never spoke or gave any commands at roundabouts or any thing,no response at all,All that happened was a green line to follow.

What year map disc / discs are you using? The latest set 2011 2012 has a number of updates which may provide a fix? 57 HSE AUTO with H.I.D's - Grey with Black leather. (H.S.E. Heightadjustable Seats Extra Sad )

Its the original 2007/2008 that came with the car (57) plate have been to Warsall today worked ok going but the voice info failed part way home.I stopped the engine reset and fine all the way home, will see if scratch can be polished out if not will see about new disc trouble is they are expensive.

you could always put in a wanted request on the forum, then if a member upgrades their disc to the latest you could purchase their older set Idea

obviously there is eBAY too, but you have to run the risk of genuine disc been received too Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

My sat nav went into silent mode halfway through a journey. It coincided with my wife turning the radio volume down when, unexpectedly, the "voice" came on. Waited until I thought she (sat nav!)might be nagging again and turned the radio volume up. After a couple of near misses we hit the correct moment and the "voice" was restored. 2007 TD4 SE Manual Santrini Black
