Heater fan noise

I have a 56 plate FL2 with 125k on the clock. The heater fan makes a noise. How easy is it to get at the heater fan to administer some WD40.

Monty,

I would Re-gas the AC system 1st.
Do a search on here, many such reports as yours.

Thanks for the reply. I had the A/C re-gassed just after I bought it 12 months ago. I'll have it checked again. However, it makes a noise even with the A/C turned off. Worth a try though.

Mine sounded like fan scroll was catching when it was heating or cooling.
I was ready to dismantle the dash to get to the fan when I decided to pay £25 for re-gas that was 2 years ago and fan has been silent since.

In that case I think a re-gas would be a good place to start.
