Tow bar wouldn't put me off as long as it shows no signs of abuse, it tow capacity is two tonnes so along as it hasn't been used for pulling plant around all day it should be fine, it it was owner by a private user the chances are it has been used to take a garden trailer to the tip, it it has twin electrics possibly a caravan but then it wouldn't be towing it for much pore than 10% of it's life, having a tow bar may have been just for a bike carrier

Avoid towbar on a manuals are the clutches are a bit weak so towing will possibly finish them off, also reverse is high geared so clutch WILL have been slipped to reverse a caravan.

Towing a caravan won't hurt the suspension, a Freelander can take 150kgs on the hitch, an al-ko hitch on a van can take up to 100kgs, so a van on the hitch or a couple of small adults in the back, same difference. |

vanner speaks with forked tounge, of course a van will put side forces on a suspension when cornering/reversing etc. a car that has done mucho towing will show extra suspension wear At work
