Show Service Indicator Stats on Start Up

Hi People,
I would assume that after i insert the key and start the vehicle, the service info e.g. Miles to next service / Days to next Service would be displayed for a few seconds???

I know how to find the info via the trip button+start+hold etc but shouldn't the info display as standard? How do i get it to always show the information???

The vehicle is an 2008 SE and has always been serviced by the main dealer.

Thanks for any help,

Chris

Well I don't. Can someone please tell me how i retrieve this information cos I would like to be able to occasionally check on it. My display never tells me anything about services due and I have no idea how to force it. Cheers 57 HSE AUTO with H.I.D's - Grey with Black leather. (H.S.E. Heightadjustable Seats Extra Sad )

My service indicator only showed up around 30 days before a service is due.

Yeah, it only pops up when nearing the due service and can't be accessed in normal mode/driving.

@gusmagoo, if you want to peek at it:
Put key in ignition.
With the ignition OFF press the TRIP button and START button for a few seconds
When display blinks, release the buttons
You should now be able to read the service distance and time by pressing the trip button

Be careful you don't reset the service time.

It only flashes up for a couple of seconds immediately after starting up.
Maybe you keep missing it OR your car never needs servicing, ever!
