@greenlaner I checked the website and I'm limited by the Google translation from the German site.

Did you just get the springs or did you do the shocks as well? I'm an amateur and I'm not sure how a lift works.. I would assume you would have to do both, but I read somewhere that you added oil to the shocks?

If you could let me know how you did this and if it's an easy job for a mechanic to do or not?
Also wondering if the engine type would matter as I am running on the Volvo 3.2L engine that was on all North American models.

It turns out that a suspension lift may be out of the question as like the Evoque the FR2 suffers with short drive shafts - this means even a modest lift will see the drive shafts pop out of the hub - I think this may be the reason simple lift kits are not available for Evoque or FR2

Only option would be have longer drive shafts made up by a suitable engineering company & then look to buy bespoke spring / damper combo

Would have to agree with Steven T. here - I have never heard of anyone in a FL2 having anything like driveshaft popping issues with spacers fitted.

As per another thread on this forum I installed my spacers to my FL2 about 3 years ago now and have driven about 30K miles now both on road as well as a number of off road Land Rover events on a combination of road tyres as well as large mud terrain tyres and I have had zero issues with any of the drivetrain whatsoever since I fitted the spacers.

I also did a fair bit of research before getting my spacers specially made and fitted and the only issue any previous people that had installed spacers on FL2's had experienced was when installing spacers larger than 25mm on the front then the driveshafts come very close to contacting the front subframe.

have checked and spoke to a guy who knows things (even when not in the pub - amazing really.....you hear about it, but you never really believe....)

for every mm you raise the spring height (or platform) you pull the drive shaft out at an increasing rate - the coefficient is due to the control arm & pivot point for the coil being fixed meaning the drive shaft is the side of the triangle which alters to accommodate the differing internal angles of the triangle - (not a maths enthusiast - but suffice to say for every x the height of the vehicle is raised the drive shaft length is increased by x multiplied by the cosine of the angle (no I don't know what that figure might be) - but as the drive shaft is a fixed length, every 30, or 60 mm you hike the car the drive shaft splines are pulled through the hub, so instead of being seated right up to the shoulder you may be pulling with a fraction of the splines actually in contact with the hub - no issue on flat roads, but rag the car or take it over ground where you exercise the full travel of the suspension then you may be expecting the drive shafts to pull the car with maybe a few mm of splines engaged- net result accelerated wear, or in worse case the shafts pop out of the hubs - On a lot of cars this isn't much of an issue as the shafts have plenty of meat to accommodate sometimes fairly significant hikes & double wish bone suspension may mean that the drive shaft being central the length remains constant - unfortunately not the case with FR2 or Evoque (or I believe Disco sport) - That's why the big suppliers of all things offroad don't do a simple hike kit for these cars
That's why the Evoque desert racer on supercar megabuild had to have "specials" made to replace the umpa loompa length drive shafts & as you can see even when completed it's not exactly lofty...

Never heard of that happening before. The main area of concern is the cv joint angle causing the cv to chew out.
