Sometimes I have noticed the auto lights come on despite broad daylight and then the other night it was very cloudy and just starting to drop dark and they refused to come on so manual override was deployed.

I agree that there are times when they come on in bright sunshine and other times when you'd expect them to come on and they don't.

I will monitor the situation and if it gets to the point where they no longer 'sometimes come on' but are on all the time during daylight 7 days a week with no variation then a faulty sensor may be behind it. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

Might be worth checking the sensor is clean and not covered by a dead bug/fly. Sensor is mounted on the windscreen behind the rear view mirror.

Was clear when I last checked yesterday but I will wipe the area in the morning to be sure. Cheers ![]() LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |
