Early days, but it appears that the App I mentioned previously resolves the issue for Android ICS phones - well, it does for my wife's Samsung Galaxy S2!
I'll post back when/if I have more data.

After a bit of Googling, this seems to be a common issue with cars and Android phones after the upgrade to ICS. There even appears to be a workaround on Google Play:

| I also just bought a set from the same seller on eBay; all three discs arrived in a shrink wrapped package and it certainly looks legitimate. Mind you, I've not had the chance to try them yet! |
