the far left of the arm in the pic above is a hinged cover that simply lifts up to reveal a 13mm nut undo this and give the arm a good wiggle to make it come off, simple as that |

Blue smoke on start up normally means the turbo seals are on their way out, but wouldn't explain the low mpg so I wouldn't worry about it. |
