I used one of my wife's small "tupperware" containers. It's the perfect size and doesn't rattle one bit. It even has an airtight lid and was FREE! |

Same here, 46,000 miles and it looks like the pads have plenty of life left. I went through pads more frequently on my Range Rover classic and Freelander 1- maybe Land Rover got it right on the LR2. |

I had similar symptoms on my 2008 LR2. it turned out to be the power steering pump- replaced under warranty, no issues since. |

You don't NEED the LR mats, but they are actually very high quality. I've used LR mats in all my rovers for years and they've always held up exceptionally well. |
