Yup, still have my 2007 from new. LHD and kept out in Spain. Very, very few problems, can only think of one rad hose leakage offhand. Serviced every year including the painful 10 yr one.

Forgive the ignorance but will the dealer still do recalls when the vehicle is out of warranty?

I get just over 25mpg out of my auto diesel. Hate to say it but my X5 SD diesel auto gives me 31.7. Not bad for such a heavy car.
 Flat battery? Check your chassis number!

Mine is a Spanish market model and LR UK was able to tell me that it is indeed fitted with the heater. Strange fault this - if it fails the car gets very very hot, not colder! Rolling Eyes
