No.
Use correctly both pins (cam and crank) and you'll be fine.
In fact the idea is to position the cam correctly when the crank is in a certain position.

I have an engine with a stripped timing belt, I am replacing the broken rockers, everything else seems ok, does anyone know if it’s possible to lock the flywheel 180 out When fitting a new belt.  |

Thank you for your replies, most useful to know about draining the oil from the lifters.
I can compress each valve by hand and it seems to jump back up without any resistance but I guess this is no ... |
