Possibly.
I'll admit that I put a spoonful of K Seal in both of mine when they started leaking there - cured them without further problems. |

I'd agree that it's probably EGR cooler.
Both my Sd4 Freelanders suffered this at high mileage - 1st one at about 130,000, the second at around 115,000. |

The rear shafts will always move - they're connected to the wheels.
Sounds more like a problem with your front PTU to be honest. |
