Unless you often pull the hand brake on before you have actualy stopped then the hand brake shoes rarely have to be changed as there should be very little wear.

But it's £25 for shoes so may as well do full job instead of half!! Also thanks for the diagram! |

Just had all the parts changes during the 4th Service, now works like a treat. Defiantly goosed before it went in, would have to leave car in gear and pull the handbrake up all the way. Now just three clicks on the handbrake and its solid, the guys that replaced it said everything was worn, new brake kit £88.00,

That must be a technical term for what we call NFG |

Yes suppose you could say it’s the polite way of saying NFG , however I think I first picked this expression up many years ago from one of the old farm workers , when working on a Farm in North Yorkshire. Not sure if it’s a N Yorkshire thing but seems to have stuck with me through the years |
