Picked up my new SD4 Freel2 yesterday and thought I would post my initial thoughts having been driving an 2007 TD4 SE for 3 1/2 years and 50,000 miles.

Yes the dealer supplied and fitted them, although they are only held on with double sided tape so wouldn't be difficult to fit yourself. Must admit I am a bit of a fan of them as they seemed to do a good job protecting the sides of my last Freelander. 2011 SD4 HSE Ipanema Sand Gone but not forgotten - 2007 TD4 SE Izmir Blue |

I had them on my last one, never had any marks on the doors when I sold it so they must have done their job, I had mine mounted a little higher up the door than your ones p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I thought they should be in the recesses too, but it looks like they are too long to fit the recesses on your photos? |

So did I but was trying to be tactful and not pee on his chips, so to speak, they are as I understand it designed to fit over the recess, still the Freely looks very good. As for the gauge showing 14 degrees, it must be faulty as I only live 50 miles further north and it has been b cold here today in the wind and showing 6 degrees on mine. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I have an 08 s model which is currently in the stealers for the week for them to fix the vibration, but I have a 60 plate gs auto my car is a manual on loanl, thoughts are the manual is well better on fuel economy but the auto is easier to drive and seems smother, bear in mind i Have 19" wheels but the tyres on the gs seem to soak up the pot holes a lot better, might lose my wheels now... |
